OP has edited the original post so that all content is gone.

Lacking that foundation, the rest of this thread is merely incomprehensible. Suggest you close it. Or delete it.

I was just mad from not being able to find better directions for entering this forum in the first place. Now I am sorry but not for me. P.S. Hurry up and get TUX for free. KISS!
If anyone wants some issues I have the first year or so. It's the network that keeps me from using Linux more because I have juno.com and they just don't support it. I do have Cygwin/X and KDE working so I can see some pages with Konqueror. There sure are a lot of sites that don't support this browser though.
I've played around with ICS and Networking a Linux PC to a Windows PC and got it working but that's a waist of power.

Here's one for the generals. What may we get for free that will help us Windows users get our drive repartioned and set up for a good root area for Linux to boot?
PM(Partion Magic) is the defacto but it's not free.

My PC's can run all kinds of versions or distros but without a good web connection I don't even want to mess with all those packages out there.

I did get Simply MEPIS on a Live CD by using a bit torrent called Azureus which I learned about by visiting dotnetrocks.com. They had a cool video to show how to use it.

I believe the original post was something along the lines of: "LQ should have a forum for radio hams and linux" - not being a radio ham myself, I'm ignorant as to the ins and outs of the technology (and it's interaction.)

The answer was, that LQ only creates forums when there is obvious demand for them (note 'obvious' as a qualifier), and that the question (radio etc) would be welcome in Linux-General (a sub forum at LQ).

However, the OP felt that their question wouldn't be properly seen to in such a general forum.

(I'm trying not to throw my opinion in here.)

With the original post gone and this thread way off topic, I'm going to go ahead and close it. If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me.
