This may easily be a problem on my end, but I thought I'd ask. Is there something wrong with the Ancestry.com banner ad?? When I go to move around the forums, the page will load the LinuxQuestions header (i.e. logo, and top-right buttons like "links", "search", etc.). Then it loads up the banner ad, and quits. It only seems to happen with the Ancestry.com ad. I have to repeatedly reload the page until I get served a different ad. Only then will the forum list or a specific post get displayed.
I'm using Mozilla (1.2.1) at the moment on a Win2k box at work. Does anybody else encouter this problem, or am I all alone here?
As far as I can tell, it shuts off loading the page completely. As soon as the banner image is displayed, the animation indicating Mozilla is fetching the page stops, and gkrellm (when running) indicates normal/idle network activity. There's nothing displayed below the banner except for a white background...
I don't know if that helps anybody diagnose the situation (or if your question was even directed at me.. ), but I thought I'd give my impression anyway.
