PM text entry and preview screen too wide

Hello

The PM text entry and preview screen is (still? again?) wider than Firefox 3.6.17's window, which shows a horizontal scroll bar.

Best

Ctrl + or Ctrl - change size? (Might have to press those keys multiple times). Or in your menu, look for the Zoom feature. What browser are you using?

Same here with Firefox 5.0 on Slackware 13.37. Using Ctrl - to make it smaller makes text unreadable small.

Do you use any other browser(s)?

Do you have the same problem in it/them?

Did you try Opera's fit page to screen option? Ctrl-F11, if you have single-key shortcuts enabled. In Opera 11.50 that, Ctrl-F11, fixes the problem. My memory says it worked in Opera 10.x, too.

FWIW, I have the same problem in my primary browser, Konqueror 3.5.9. Opera's fit page to screen option is one the reasons it was my primary browser until I switched permanently to KDE, & why it is still my secondary browser. HTH.

While Operas fit page-option may fix the symptom (didn't try it), the cause will still be there and can at least be seen on browsers with gecko-engine (Firefox, Seamonkey, ...). It would be better to fix the cause, not the symptom.

Agreed.

BTW, I just checked, & this is a reported issue:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hp?issueid=115
Sorry for not noticing that earlier.

I think it would be helpful for everyone experiencing it to follow the link to the LQ issue page & vote "Yes" to "Are you able to reproduce this bug?"
