OS icon in lower left under name

At the bottom of each post underneath each member's name, location, distro information is a small icon that appears to indicate the operating system or distribution they using when they posted. Or at least, I think that is what it is.

Mine just shows a little Tux that displays "linux" when you hover over it. I've seen some different icons for ubuntu users and gentoo users, etc. I'm running Slackware. How can I get an Tux icon smoking a pipe? I think that would be fitting for Slackware.

Do a search on LQ, there are several threads on how to do this.
In short, you need to set it in your browser
For firefox:
Quote:
about:config => general.useragent.extra.firefox
set the value to slackware,Firefox/3.5.5

I don't know if there is an arch linux symbol. Did you try modifying your general.useragent.extra.firefox string (assuming you are using Firefox) to include arch or archlinux?

You could also ask here:

Option to disable display of OS and Browser on posts?

It's a very long thread, and the methods for setting an appropriate configuration option for a couple of other browsers is discussed too.

Arch is already a supported distro. You may need to update your useragent as indicated in the linked thread.
