Newbie Linux Book offer in LQ newsletter, is it just for working people?

The exact title of the book I don't know but it's the only one shown at the first few paragraphs of the LQ newsletter; think it's from "makeuseof.com".

It insist in making me fill out some NON-APPLICABLE info before letting me d/l it. I don't find a different method of applying for the book anywhere.

Is it legal to receive that book from a member from this forum through/via, say, google docs, skydrive, dropbox etc.?

Thanks for any relevant replies!

I looked around the makeuseof.com website and can't find any licensing information. Not saying it's not there, but, if it is, it's well hidden.

I can, however, recommend a couple of good sites as alternatives; there are many other excellent linux reference sites on the net.

http://linux.about.com/. It's oriented to Ubuntu, but it's full of good info.

http://tille.garrels.be/training/tldp/. Machtelt Garrels's Intro to Linux. There is lots of additional excellent reference material at that location also.

Feel free to put NON-APPLICABLE or N/A in any field that doesn't apply to you. You'll still be able to download the ebook at the end of the process.

Thanks to both of you, frankbell & jeremy, for your replies!

This site is a little demanding on the information side but, at the end, it worked! I already browsed the book; now, what's left is to find a way to put it somewhere I can bring with me to read it while I'm waiting somewhere for a service (bank, government agency, doctor' office, etc.).
