Hate to be a showstopper but I actually preferred ye olde way where I could switch between forum sections just by changing the number in the url bar and hitting enter. This isn't exactly a life and death thing, just gave an opinion.

The old style URL's will never stop working, so if you prefer to type them into the address bar you certainly can.

Umm, I might be missing something but the old url, say this one:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...splay.php?f=26
changes into:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/debian-26/
when pressing enter. More editing as I have to write "forumdisplay.php?f=" also.

Oh well, not that important like I already posted.

All View First Unread links should now work properly.

A quick tip is actually to use short urls - ie:
This Forum: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/f7

Not to be dense, but does that really mean "All View First Unread links that happen to exist should now work properly." or does it imply that all threads have such a link? If the latter, you should know that this thread does not, as I write, have one displayed in Konq. 3.5.3, still.

A thread only has the link if there are indeed new threads. The shortest link to a thread is:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/t589478.html

this anything to do with the rearrangement of the subforums on the page? I like how Linux-newbie is right at the top- great for all those people who go "aaaaahhhh! need to post fast fast fast!" and click on the first subforum they see.

good thinking.

That was an attempt to stop people from posting their threads in the first forum they see. At least if Newbie is the "default" a new poster will have a good chance of being in the right place.
