New LQ.org forum suggestion

Do you think it would be a good idea to create a new forum for laptop users? I do because as well as general linux issues/problems there are also specific hardware and compatability problems exclusive to the brave who try to get linux to work on the mobile hardware.
Sometimes you can't guess if a thread is laptop related from the thread name but if there was a specific forum just for that then all of the threads contained therein WOULD be pertinent to using linux in that way.
Anyone out there agree?

Hope it happens
Bye

actually, that's not such a bad idea. but we already do have the hardware forum tho, and most of our threads about laptops eventually get re-routed to linux-laptops.org anyway.

But the problem I see with having a Laptop Forum would be that any of those questions still can be asked in the Software and Hardware forum.
Installing software on a laptop is no different than on any other computer. I would say if we did have a laptop forum, it would probably seem more right as a sub-forum in the hardware forum, maybe for specific hardware questions concerning laptops using Linux.

A Laptop sub-forum in the Hardware foum is definitely a future possibility - I just don't see the demand right now. I will keep my eyes open. Thanks.
