So here I am, 3 years since my first Linux install to the day. No idea why I remember that, but I do(it was probably a glorious day).
Over those 3 years I've encountered a lot of weird errors and even more questions as to "how do I do this and that". Which is why I'm writing this. As you can see, I've only posted 5(or 6 now) posts on the forum, and I'm still a forum-newbie.
When I first installed, my house mate was sort of a Slack-geek, which easily eliminated the question of which distro to select. I nagged him for the first 3 weeks about EVERYTHING, but he ran tired and started sending me the link to justfuckinggoogleit every time i called for aid..
So after a while of googling for answers I realized every time I found an answer, it was on this forum. So I joined up and asked a question. Off course, the first reply was "this has been asked 200 times already. do a search" or something of the like. And that brings me back to why I only have 5 posts.
Practically everything I need help for or have a problem with can be found here(or if I bother to read the README
) Members do a good job in making the questions easily understood and answers are simple, justified and you immediately know if it applies to your problem. You guys(all members) are doing a tremendous job in helping out people both getting into Linux for the first time and more advanced users with a bit more technical problems. For that I HAIL YOU, and you should be proud of yourselves for being part of such a community.
<cartman> I love you guys</cartman>
(Oh. And I'll try to stop by to help out a bit more myself..
