could anyone, please, help me to understand my mistake. I'm trying to search for the post "How To Do Everything With DD", which is under Linux Answers --> Applications|GUI|Multimedia.
My problem is, that this post CANNOT be found by Search, even when I type in the whole title "How To Do Everything With DD" as a keyword. Neither can it be found by using "dd if=/" as a keyword ...
Thankfully, I have other means to find this particular post, but generally I can't understand what's wrong about my search method.
Cause it gives me, for example, a bunch of results with "when" and none for "dd if=/", while clearly the latter is far less often found in the posts, than "when".
Sure, I could try some possible phrases like "backup partition" or the like; yet, again, I'm 100% sure the title "how to do everything with dd" is ONLY found in connection with that post, while "backup partition" is likely to be found multiple times. I was thinking, the more unique the phrase, the more chances that you'll get it...
So what's wrong with my logic?
(Cause if this doesn't work, then how can I hope to find anything at all )

The content you linked to is actually an article and not a forum post. The default quick search currently includes only forum content. You can use the advanced search (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/search.php) to search non-forum content.
Yes, I actually used that form you've linked to and searched using the "Search Linux Answers" box, as the article is found in the Linux Answers portion. Still, no results for "DD", "Everythig With DD", "dd if=/" or any such combination.
As though "Search Linux Answers" means searching some place, other than the "Linux Answers" section where the article is found. This is what I still don't quite get.

It looks like there is currently an issue with that particular search. While we look into it, you should be able to use http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/search/node. Thanks for the heads up.
Oh, and I also wanna grab this opportunity to thank you personally, Jeremy, for this excellent portal which has been of great help to me on many occasions. In fact, I seldom posted any questions just because it seems all possible questions have already been given good answers .
(And what can't be, for some obscure reasons, found by the forum search, can be found by Google, ha-ha. So it will work this way or another, right?)
