LQ Advanced Search: a button/checkbox to fill own username into "search by user name"

Might seem like laziness at first, but.. It isn't. Just an idea that would help decrease the entering of the same text repeatedly.

I think it would be handy if there were a button or checkbox beside the "User Name" field on the advanced search page, which would put (or keep) your own user name in the field.

For whatever reason, that field does not seem to retain a 'form history' sort of thing (probably due to the auto-complete-ish functionality I mention below) like let's say the LQ login area does, so let's say I go do a search for an older thread/post of mine, and the first time I cannot find what I'm looking for; I click BACK to adjust/modify my search, and again must fill in my username. Repeat as required..

( The Login field, by comparison, when I type the first letter of my username, the form history pops down and there I am. )

It *is* handy that the Search username field has that automatic narrowing down of usernames as you type (sort of auto-complete), but for the most part, I get most of my username entered into the field before that functionality has narrowed down to a small number of names, and I seem to have to pause typing to let it "think" before it pops some selections up, by which time I may as well just finish typing it all in.

Anyone feel this might be a handy idea?

LOL thats what you get for choosing a long user name.

Thanks for the feedback. As the normal use case for finding ones own posts is either "My Threads" or "My Posts" and only an advanced search requires typing in your own username, we have no plans to add this feature.
