Whenever we logon to LQ, we are redirected to the Home page, which serves as a starting point. In my case this is rather - even very - unnecessary since I almost always go directly to my User CP. I can imagine that a lot of people do something similar; they skip reading the Home page and go to their favourite page here at LQ.

So, I'd like to suggest adding an option to the Profile options (accessed from Edit Profile of course) so that one can choose which page to end up at immediately after login. Apart from the convenience perhaps it would spare some resources?

Bebo, if you choose the option to stayed logged in, you will get around this. If for whatever reason you'd prefer not to use this option, a future version of the forum software will bring you to the page you were headed to after a login, instead of the homepage.
