are there any stats available about how many of these members are still around etc? average number of posts, rate of joinups, average post rate...

jeremy 12-10-2002 09:20 AM

I don't really keep those stats on hand, but if enough people are interested they are only a SQL all away ;)

I would be interested in knowing how many members have actually posted at least once or how many are at member status... etc ??

Thymox 12-10-2002 10:37 AM

16:33, 12th December, 2002:
Currently 20,017 registered members.
Code:

Posted at least once: 13302 = 66.45%
Posted <30 (Newbie):    11661 = 58.26% of total, 87.66% of those that have posted at least once.
Posted >30 (Member):      1625 =  8.12% of total, 12.22%...
Posted 1000+ (Addict/Guru): 16 =  0.08% of total,  0.12%...

how the hell did you work that out? oh from the post order page i guess... i still really don't see why 7000 people have registered and not posted once...

Thymox 12-10-2002 10:59 AM

Yep... from the 'Top 10 posters' page. Reset it to 200 per page, go to the last page where posters have at least 1 post and do some simple calculations. Like I said, I am that sad!

Wow, nice work though Grant. I was curious myself, but would have never figured doing it that way.

Thanks!

Any figures for growth over time? BTW those people registering might just be using the search function. Which can't be a bad thing.

Well done, jeremy.

This should give you a good idea.

You would be amazed at the number of members who visit daily/weekly but *never* post.
