Reading Mozilla bug reports, these type of errors seem
to be on the server end; and their suggested "fix" is to
clear the cache and that web page's cookies, as syg00
stated in post #10.

For me it won't happen with a new Firefox install or
upgrade, but then does after some time period. This
in itself leads me to believe it has to do with the
file size increasing to a point where it happens.
On my box once it happens, it will not go away
except for clearing sessionstore.* (bad choice)
or cache and cookies (better choice), and it
has only happened with LQ.

Has this happened to anyone since my last post (#14)?

Jeremy,

Not to me, but as stated, my files have to increase in size
before this happens anyway.

I wish I'd remembered when first removing sessionstore.* that
I had my ~/ backed up on the server. But crontab backs it up
every night, so it's not there any longer.

Had the problem last week after a 3 week layoff touring China (sorry Bruce, missed Yunnan ... ), but it tends to be intermittent; may not see it again for weeks. I deleted cookies and it cleared (prior to jeremy's post), but empirical evidence from a few days probably isn't any evidence at all.
I'll post again in a couple of weeks.

I have not experienced the problem for several weeks. I have also not identified any particular set of conditions associated with its onset or with its end.

I haven't had this problem since I figured out that workaround that I posted in the green text above. However, I keep an eye on this thread and will post back if I manage to replicate the bug consistently.
