It took only 4 months and 5 days

Title may sound sarcastic, but intention is to make LQ better and more up to date.

Few minutes ago I've noticed that my entry, which you can find here has been added to LinuxAnswers Discussion.

Only thing that bothers me is that it was added on 27th July 2009 and I made my entry on 22nd March 2009.

I've found that there are even older entries which were added on the same day or few days earlier when my entry was added. Some of these entries were added after a few years.

If someone would explain, or try to, why is that so it would be appreciated.

I mean, if for nothing else, then for the members who give their time and knowlege to write something useful for others, who are putting a lot of effort in it and want to contribute to LQ, shouldn't things like adding an entry be handled a LITTLE FASTER?

Thank you!

Hmm, I missed this one. It's really because the approvals are handled by me and I tend to concentrate on other things. Really, if you think I'm taking an unreasonable time to put through a Tutorial or Article you should email or PM and let me know how long you've waited and the title of the tutorial - I will then endeavour to put them at the top of the list.

Unfortunately, I am (despite evidence to the contrary) only human and as such I get sidetracked by work and family and sheer lack of energy. Also, if you could prevent people posting questions and spam ads in the queue, the signal/noise ratio would be easier to deal with.

Apologies for the wait.

No need for apologies Xavier because what we do we do it because we love to do it and we do it when and how we can. It's not that we are employees here at LQ.

I can understand why there were delays in adding entries if you are the only one who is doing it and if that's so could 1 or 2 moderators help you with that?

Unfortunately, it's a highly complex specialised process and only mods who over extend themselves can do it On all of these things there are a number of times when it will go untouched by me - seriously, if you do think I'm dragging my heels, give me a poke in the ribs via email or PM and I'll usually get onto it.

Consider it solved, but Xavier, you better start jogging.
