Incorrect post count

Hi, I'm confused about my post count. I got the message saying records had shown I hadn't posted yet, after I'd made I think 3 posts. Also, my post count is still reading 1 after I've made a few. I'd like to post a link but can't if the post count is wrong. Can someone enlighten me?

I read your post count as 3.

Many people get around the link posting problem early on by doing hxxp://this.is.my.link

Most of your posts are in the "General" forum. Those don't count toward your total.

Alienux, thank you for the information. That's unusual that it doesn't count as a post...

Pljvaldez, yes, it does say that now. But if you click on my name and see how many posts I've made, it's still lagging quite a bit. I guess because it's a general post it doesn't count...

Hmm. Maybe I didn't use the right key words when I ran the search.

It's also covered in the FAQ:

It's because there are a lot of people who would post a lot of junk in General just to get their post count to look bigger. Many online forums follow this same guideline, with good reason.
