How about what topic they posted in? I'm trying to get some info in DrOzz's kernel compiling topic, and whenever I see a new post announcement on the listing, I go to only find that it wasn't in the compiling topic. Basically..

That takes longer.... the idea is to make it user-friendlier

It lets you know whether you should spend your time going to a page to see that the last post wasn't in your topic asking about something, but in some other topic...

but there were 6 posts in linux - general in the last 10 minutes... why should the very very last one have any real siginificance? really mate.. just use this:
