How to see the zero reply threads ONLY of the forums I am interested in ?
e.g. I have no interest in Linux-Mobile/Linux-Hardware and many others. There may be Linux-newbie/Linux-desktop/Linux-kernel...etc questions lost in the long list !
Sometimes I do bother to look back many pages to find the questions related to forums of my interest, but that's too tedious ! |
Anisha,
I haven't been able to find out how to do that myself. However, I think that would take away from the helpfulness of this site. Quite often I see posts in what would normally be the "Wrong" section, however I've been able to help them as well. But I will agree with you, it would be nice to be able to do an Advanced Search of just a few certain Forums, and be able to sort the results by the number of Replies. I know I'm not just trying to find "Zero Reply" threads, but I try to look at the "Only 2 Replies" or "Only 1 Reply" threads. Especially the "Only 1 Reply" threads, I've seen a few new people try to "bump" their thread, which just knocks it out of the Zero Reply search. |

(I used to do that before but now I find it to be VERY tiresome). It will be helpful for LQ as well as me, if I see the zero reply threads of my interest (in one or two clicks)! |
You can accomplish this search as follows:
Go to Advanced search -> select "Find Threads with: At most 0 replies" - > select the forums you're interested in. --jeremy |
Well that was really helpful :hattip:
I am not sure whether that search can be bookmarked ? Since I think searches have timeouts ! Is it so ? |
I tried that now by selecting "Linux-Desktop" with "at most 0 replies" forum. Answered one question there but when I again selected the "Linux-Desktop" with "at most 0 replies", from that advanced search, the question I just answered was showing up there !!!!
I want only zero reply ones !!! How to accomplish that ? |
Due to the way searches are cached, you may see the thread for a very short amount of time after you post in it.

Thanks & Yes, now I don't see that answered thread there anymore.
