How about a Kernel related forum under software?
 
I would have questions about the kernel. I don't know where to post them so that they would get answered.

At this time I don't think there is sufficient demand for a kernel subforum. If that changes, we'd be happy to revisit the topic. The questions would currently be welcome in Linux - Software.
