help with improving questioning

Dear all

Is it a good idea to kind of have a radiobutton (or may be in thread tools) that says:

INSUFFICIENT_DATA

(See, http://bugzilla.kernel.org/bug_status.html)

Many questions come with poor data and it is difficult to ask everyone give me more info everytime. For case of vandalism - you can have 2 members to approve INSUFFICIENT_DATA before being displayed INSUFFICIENT_DATA.

You can add a field in "thread summary view" status "Poster action required".

Many thanks

I don't think this would really work.

The fact that people are asking questions generally points to the fact that they don't know where to find more information so you would need to specifically request the relevant information. Just saying "You need to give us more information." is quite different from "Could you give us the output from lsmod and lspci."

Also, given the wide range of experience that our members have with different systems one member may be able to point to the cause of a problem with less information than many others.
