HCL - time to approval
A few days ago I received an approval mail for a product I submitted to the HCL exactly 1 year and 1 day ago.
Is this just a date calculation bug in the HCL software or did it really take so long to approve the entry?
If the latter is the case (which I believe as earlier submissions also took months before they got approved), this is just ridiculous.
The HCL should be a guide for buying new hardware, but after one year many products are end-of-life.
I offered help with the HCL some time ago but was told it was not necessary.
Could someone please clarify what the problem with HCL is? I really don't feel encouraged anymore to make new submissions.
I'm happy to announce that the pending backlog of HCL entries has been completely cleared. There's never been a better time to add your hardware to the LQ HCL. We've put measures in place to ensure the number of pending entries remains small and you should expect that new additions get approved much quicker. Thanks for the patience. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/ to make your entries.
Thanks for your patience, and please add more hardware.
