forum for commands and programming (perl)?

I don't see any specific forum for asking UNIX commands and perl programming. Where to post?

Everything programming related should go in the Programming sub-forum. This would include, among other things, questions about "simple" one-liners, Perl, C(++), shel scripts, assembler etc

Questions about specific commands can be harder to classify. For example: not all commands work the same on all distro's.

If in doubt I would post command related questions in the appropriate Linux - Distributions or Other *NIX Forums sub-forum.

You can always ask a moderator to move the thread to another location. Another person can also do this: I asked a moderator to move your Perl related question to the Programming section instead of the Ubuntu section it was posted in. Much bigger chance for this specific question to get (additional) info in the Programming sub-forum.

Just my 2c.
