Command library

Just had a thought:

Why not have a ... wiki, section, board,.. i dont know,.. where people can submit their favorite/neat/interesting commands?

If it were searchable, with each suggestion having good enough explanation and tags, it might be a wonderful tool.

Sure there was the tricks and hints thread that ran between 2002 and 2009 (I don't see any problem with resurrecting it) and members decide themselves what they want to add to the Wiki (so feel free) but other than that I thought the whole of LQ was a grab bag of interesting commands... ;-p

Don't be so easily dissuaded, there's always a "reason"!!!
I did not mean to discourage you...

You have bunches of good site my friend. Any way you could share your bookmarks? Seriously.

Thanks so much.

And no worries. I still think LQ could pull off an excellent command section with voting/karma/et al. The command-line-fu site is ok, but it has some dangerous snippets, and is generally just a disappointing site.
