I think many people are unaware of the Blue thumb option provided for thanking officially. I've noticed people do write thanks in their reply posts but still do not click the blue thumb link. I don't think people go through the FAQ of the site to know about the blue thumb. Would'nt it be more appropriate to label the blue thumb to make it more clear !

Thanks for the feedback. In addition to the FAQ entry, we've made multiple announcements in the forums and included multiple notes in the Community Bulletin. There's also a tooltip if you mouse over the icon. We're continuing the evaluate the BETA "thanks" functionality and will make changes as necessary.
