What was your search criteria? If you search for 'mouse problem' then it'll show all threads that have those two words in them... by default. You can change this. Down the bottom of the search page there's an option for 'search entire posts' or 'search titles only'.

OK but is it not better to search the subject line b4 the entire content. Ofcourse my search criteria was bad 'mouse'. But see I am user do not expect me to take the pain of going to the search page for search. LQ is not a software that I am supposed to learn everything about (yes it does help too though).

When doing a search you have the option to search the entire post or only the subject. A better search (google actually) is something I would like to implement, but the current one is really pretty good, so the priority is fairly low.

This is one reason why we insist that when making a new thread to title the thread the best you can, which will help with searching for posts on any particular topic.

Threads that are titled " Help me I'm a newbie" or the such don't help in anyway in this process.
