Seems like a joke you are pulling, no? Because the smiley face, and the overall conversation in the thread that you are referring to, it doesn't seem that unSpawn really did anything..... But can I ask why you are leaving LQ?
Without any explanation or anything, fine, but we'll never know why you left and what was wrong. I don't see anything in the posts that he made, except for a general thread that had gone off-topic. He said he would leave there, but I don't know if he was serious, and he doesn't say why. The thread seemed not serious at all.

In addition to the aforementioned fact that you haven't been active at LQ in any way in almost four months, the above seems to indicate I personally had some direct interaction with you that didn't go well...which is certainly not something I recall happening. If you'd like to point out a specific instance you think could have been handled better or ways you think we can improve, we're more than willing to listen. If you simply prefer not to participate at LQ that's obviously your decision, but I'm interested in what you're looking to accomplish by starting a dedicated thread announcing your departure?

unSpawn was talking to me in that thread, I don't know why Hughe overreacted? Nevertheless unSpawn was not at all at fault anywhere in that thread. In fact he was talking in a milder tone than he usually does

Please, that thread was related to the laptop's battery life and you say it is not serious?

I didn't see the moderators say anything to you in the "battery life" thread.

I'm not sure where people inferred the linked thread has anything to do with the OP's issue, but based on offline conversations it is in no way related. Please try not to speculate based on assumptions in cases such as this, as it just tends to add fuel to the flames. Thanks.
If it were technically possible, I would love to see every serious thread have a linked commentary/banter/joke thread. I don't vBulletin is likely to do this -- my last foray into the world of vBulletin fora showed me that few, if any, are as technical & businesslike as LQ.

Josh, were you thinking of the thread I linked to above? Why?

To address the off-topic "General - Technical" suggestion: we have absolutely no plans to add additional sob-fora to General. If it is technical in nature but in no way related to Linux, Open Source, *NIX or Programming, it belongs in General.
