Seeing that you have a few other non-Linux forums, I was wondering if you would consider starting a Mac OSX forum, given that it runs a 'nix like kernel.
to me i'd say that this is blurring the line a little too much. If someone delves that far into OSX then they'll know they're on a BSD level anyway i'd say, and so would use BSD forums, if not proper official OSX forums - which will presuambly never really mention the guts so to speak, and just be people banging on about iTunes or something.
I'd say if we ever did get a OSX type forum, it should go in the other *nix's forum with BSD and Solaris. But as it sounds nice, I don't think there is a big demand for it really at this time.
i don't think jeremy would be at all opposed to that... but we've had pretty close to zero demand for anything related to OSX - a few blurbs occasionally, someone mentioning that they'd like to try it out, asking if anyone's every made a genuine sighting, ect.
I kinda thought there would be little demand, but I got a TiBook running Jag 10.2.4, and it is really nice. 1 gig DDR ram, 1Ghz processor, and a nice screen. Anyway....
I figured since I cant be the only one that has a Mac that others new to a 'nix system would appreciate a forum specifically for them. It would appeal to those that are not or do not want to learn BSD in general, but could.
Plus from what I have read, many people getting the Mac OSX have run or still do run Linux.

Stephanie,
At this time I don't think there is enough demand for an OSX forum. I do however think it is sufficiently different from BSD that if the demand was there it would warrent a seperate forum.
