Of course we do
Joke aside, since ROCK is more than a distribution - a Distribution Build Kit - it still is one-of-a-kind. Have a look at http://lvp.crash-override.net/, this is a Live System weighing in at currently 29 MB including X, mplayer and some other stuff. It is created to boot, give a small GUI, play the files on the CD/DVD and then shut down again.
And it is made using ROCK.
Of course, you could do all the steps required to create this every time for each new version. But with ROCK, all you gotta do is:
Code:
./scripts/Config
./scripts/Download -required
./scripts/Build-Target
and you're done. New version of X? Run the above commands. New version of Linux kernel and mplayer? Run the above commands.
I am not aware of an alternative to ROCK in this regard.
If you are at the Linux Info Tag in Dresden next week, check out my talk about ROCK there.
Greetings,
Benjamin

Now Imagine How Great SUSE Linux (My Favourite Of Course) would have been, if you had added those improvements to it!
Unfortunately Dresden is too far for a penniless South African, what do you think got me started with Linux in the first place...
Jokes Aside! One day, when I am unhappy with Suse I will rip it out and try out ROCK
