You want to:
- Design complete solutions from the network topology to the application protocol
- Engineer beautiful solutions and write elegant code - hit the sweet spot between reliability and performance
- Prove you can out code and out engineer the competition

- Build cool distributed and parallel high performance applications
- Crank serious code to solve real world problems
- Seriously get a kick out of doing it all

You have:
- A B.S. in CS from a top university (or equivalent)
- Spent at least 3-5 years engineering solutions and writing code
- You have a very strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, compilers, networking
- You have a decent understanding of parallel programming and distributed systems
- You have fluency in C/C++, stl, pthreads, shared memory, networking and the rest of the Unix programming menagerie
