I have a laptop (166Mhz, 64MB ram, 2 GB HDD) that was running Win95, but I couldnt run much on it, as it was kinda slow. Anyways, I decided to throw caution to the wind and install Linux. I got directed to this distro by the people over at linuxquestions.org. After long deliberation, I decided to do it. For help, I logged onto the #vectorlinux chat room... that was the best decision ever.
In there, I got step by step advice from Berke and Mutiny, 2 really great guys, who stuck with me until I got every quirk sorted out. And there were quite a bit of quirks, but we got it all working. The install went smoothly, but then at the very end, X wouldn't load, so Mutiny helped me go into the text editing stuff and change it all. After that, we went in, and they helped me familiarize with the stuff. Was great. After sorting out the PCMCIA Cards, I was set.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here and share my success story.
