ScreenSaver Packages

Hi,

I would be surprised if there are any screensavers on the knoppix CD that are not already in the Ubuntu repositories.

Check out:

Code:
xscreensaver-data - data files to be shared among screensaver frontends
xscreensaver-gl - GL(Mesa) screen hacks for xscreensaver
xscreensaver-data-extra - data files to be shared among screensaver frontends
xscreensaver-gl-extra - GL(Mesa) screen hacks for xscreensaver
HTH,

Welcome to LQ.

Agree with the above. You should find the screensavers in the Ubuntu repository e.g. using the Synaptic tool.

Hi, I had to make a separte CD from the xScreensavers from Knoppix, there's plenty and I wanted them on Ubuntu-no there not on Synaptic Pkg Mgr, but the probem is copying them to the sub-file in Ubuntu, if I remember correctly, its /usr/lib/xscreensaver. Any ides how to copy/paste or whatever I am supposed to do to accomplish this. Thanks
