Hi guys
This is my first post with this forum. I am taking care of a medium scale network totally deployed in Windows 2003, Cisco etc and pretty comfortable with almost no problems environment (provided by investing reasonable amounts to upgrade, implement new security stuffs etc)
Right now we are planning to implement Oracle EBS and we are given three choices for a platform on which we will roll-out the suit.
RedHat EL (4/5)
Sun Solaris on Sparc
Microsfot Windows 2003/2008
This has exclusively brought me an opportunity to get familiar with linux (RHEL 5) and I must say though there are still the "double clicks" are missing for everything for a windows user, the later distributions are highly "adaptable" for corporate environments. I tried out Ubuntu and PCLinuxOS which were quite neat...
Anyway I am a Oracle certified professional and enjoying the features of linux and will use this forum as a learning place in future!
