I--like many--have bowed to the enevitable and gotten my MCSE as that's is where I perceived the jobs were. But then a ray of light show forth in my place of employment!
AVAYA picked RedHat for their switch server OS. I can use the IE browser interface to manage most requirements. But from time to time, it would be nice to know what some of the information on the console means. the information in the browser is limited to waht AVAYA wnats you to know.
While I don't "play" with our telecom servers, I thought to set up a few CENT and/or REDHAT servers on discarded servers from work at home and do my learning there. Is there a thread where I should start my journey in this?

That's a great usage of discarded servers, and considerate of your employer to 'recycle' them in your direction! If they would like to pay shipping to Canada to recycle another one, I accept
