Wine runs SImCity 2000


I have discovered that using Wine, I can play SimCity 2000 in Linux. It's not 100% perfect--the graphics are slightly distorted and the splash screen didn't show up--but it's playable.

As it says at WineHQ's AppDB (this link should get you to the appropriate place where you can get information on the two versions). In case of Windows software that you (plan to) run through Wine, do see the application database which should give hints on whether or not it might work...
