Supermount in 2.6.6-rc1

I thought Supermount was really neat for my CD/DVD drive, but when I upgraded to kernel 2.6.6-rc1, the patch would no longer work, I got three rejected hunks. I looked at the rejections and all of them were quite minor problems, due to small changes in the surrounding code, so I managed to merge the three failed hunks manually and compile the new kernel, and it worked! Now I have got supermount back and it seems to be fine. It looks like I didn't break it! I wonder when the official patch will be released, seems that the official website is quite slow to release them.

I'm getting to the end of my TODO list, having fixed nearly all my other problems with the excellent help of LinuxQuestions. Next job is to get bootsplash patched in to my shiny new kernel, and the kernel patch for my wireless network card. I wonder how many patches I can add before they start messing each other up...

used supermount-2.0.4-2.6.2.patch (from the official site, if I remember correctly) and only got an [easily fixed] compile error.

try: patch -F 3 ...
to save yourself the trouble of manual intervention
