Cool Kazaa Lite on Debian

Well, im not sure if anyone is interested in this, but i thought i would let u all know.

I finally got Kazaa 1.7 working on Linux (Debian) today. I could never work out why it did not work.

But for some reason i decided to install IE6 on the system under Wine.

I then tried Kazaa, and guess what, It worked perfectly. Altho the icons on kazaa look a little strange!!!

But other wise it is perfect.

Now that you got the wonderful spyware loaded featureless version. Why not try for something decent and use Kazaa Lite K++ 2.42
Also, appdb.winehq.org could have had your kazaa working a long time ago...

I thank you for your reply, altho i think you will find that wine would not load up kazaa without me installing IE.

And with regards to spyware, I am using the lite version and i think you will find that this has all been remove. and the 2.42 version would not work

And I think you will find that I am running it right now behind my Opera webbrowser...

your supposed to type wine kpp.exe KazaaLite.kpp and have the KazaaLite.kpp as your override in the wine config file.
