I'm over the moon

Six months ago, I failed. I wiped a hardrive. I had to install windows and forget about Linux.

BUT yesterday, I did it. a good friend in AUS sent me a package. 6 linux CD's and a help book. I paritioned carefully. I had swapped 1 harddrive for two. LINUX (in the form of red hat) now lives on one of my drives.!

I am a linux user!
I AM a linux user!
I am A linux user!
I am a LINUX user!
I am a linux USER!

next goal: get the swap to live on my windows drive
after that: get slack to live as the third system

Yay for you!

I remember when I started fiddling about with Linux I barely had enough room on my harddrive to swing a cat (yes, I know the metaphore shouldn't really belong here, but you know what I mean) and I had to keep juggling between installing Linux and having a fiddle, removing Linux and reformatting to vfat so that I had enough space to install a new game in Windows and give it a blast, and then when I had finished it, back to Linux.

It does feel liberating to start afresh and partition your harddisk specifically to install Linux.

Keep at it.
