glad to use linux

i'll admit, i am not a computer scientist. Or a programer. Or, normally, have anything to do with computers other than basic spreadsheets and net surfing. At best, I have a basic curiosity at how computers work. That's how i even got into linux. Hell, my brother who works in a factory knows more about computers than I. But, I have always been happy with the change to linux, and a bit proud, i'll admit. I am not looking for help, at least not here, I just thought i would mention. I moved and had to get a new router. Linux, no problem getting things working again. My girlfriend's XP laptop? That is a whole other ball of wax. No IM, no google earth, hell, no IE. I dont get it. Before, if i lost the linux computer, no big deal. Now, i may have to say, i'll never go back to windows again.

I love *nix for similar reasons. But this is probably better put in Success Stories, so I've asked the mods to move it for you.

I'm glad you love *nix as much as I do. I'm an elementary school teacher and I'd hate to have to do my job without it. Even though it means I'm bringing my own system in.
