Getting Squirrely

Coming home from work last week I decided I needed a new way to access my mail on my server. I'd heard a lot about SquirrelMail and figured I'd start reading the documentation as soon as I got home to figure out how to install it. The current setup for our mail server was postfix using pop3s. I was accessing my email using Evolution and the rest of the gang was using Outlook. Their were no problems from Evolution but, you guessed it, Outlook would throw strange errors when it was connecting at random.

So anyway I read the SquirrelMail docs for about 30 minutes and then installed it. I had the whole thing up and running with all the plugins I wanted in about 1 hour. I thought it would take me forever since my knowledge of mail servers in Linux is very low. I was dead wrong.

SUCCESS!

I would highly recommend this product as well for anybody who is interested in a web based mail site.
