Yet another newbie!

Hi - Kevin here...yet another newbie to the world of linux, love it so far!

I have been working with Oracle apps for a long time, now that I have personal time, I am starting to dig into the guts of the applications I work with, and those apps are largely linux based.

I currently use Ubuntu desktop as my all purpose workstation and I am sandboxing the Oracle distros, server 6.5, and Oracle vm server. All of this is being hosted on spare desktop hardware I have lying around. I will eventually purchase a server once I am more comfortable with the software.
