Xandros instalation guide anyone?

Hi folks, i am new to linuix just downloaded a copy of Xandros desktop would love to get rid of Windows once for all but dont know how to start instaling linux can anyone point me in the right direction any instalation guides avaliable, what fat system does linux use do you need to format the hard drive prior to instalation and so on.?
