TSL's Intro

Okay, a bit late. I forgot about this because I was having trouble.
Nothing new there.
Anyway.

TSL, or TheStarLion, is of course me. My actual name is Liam, though since this is online, I'm sure you'll understand if I leave it at that - I'm a little over paranoid about online, but sometimes that's healthier.
I'm in the UK, I've been a Linux user for nearly 4 years, and have a habit of trying to avoid Windows at all for nearly as long. I don't hate it though, I just try to find alternatives unless there's no choice.

As of now, I've used Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Fedora and OpenSuSE, though my current is Ubuntu, soon however to be Ubuntu/Slax as my (ancient and slowly dieing) Linux powered laptop, just as soon as a part arrives, will be moving to it - thanks to AuroraZero who helped on these very forum with that, by the way.

I'm not a technical person as such. I don't like having to modify the text files behind the scenes, so to speak, I prefer a GUI app which I can learn about it from first.
That said, I do use the terminal a fair bit, which always seems to bother people who are terrified of it. Since discovering Guake (And Yakuake for the rare times I use KDE) it's become even more useful.

Hmm, what else.
I prefer GNOME. People can complain about it's lack of custimisability, but I find it has more than XFCE or KDE, and does exactly what I want it to.
I've been experimenting with Fluxbox lately though, and but for a small issue (WicD doesn't auto-start on it yet) I'm considering using it.

I think that's about all, and probably too much. Oh well, my habit of rambling again.
So, TTFN, I'm going to go back to trying to figure out this old laptop of mine again.
