Talking The oldest new user

Been using Unix since the early 1980's. Had a DEC PDP-11 at home. I can clearly remember coding on an ASR-33 Teletype on paper tape. Our oldest machines ran on kerosene and a water wheel. I have a VAX and two Alpha servers.

Today, its LAMP baby, multi core, giga memory, SSDs and sat comm. Its a wonderful world...

Yea I had to walk to school, uphill, both directions, in the snow.

And had to fight off a bear with my slate (didn't have a loose leaf paper notebook).

He wanted my moonpie and RC cola.
