Thanks to All

Thanks to all here. I consulted you through my testing of 4 or 5 distro's. to see which I liked best.
I settled with Linux Mint 14 KDE 32bit. Ubuntu had issues with wireless after upset of OS on a Acer, Aspire One D257. Needless to say that don't work. Others had other things I didn't care for.
I like Linux Mint 14 KDE, it's faster than Gnome. I also used KDE back about in 2000 and knew it had a lot of versatility.
I don't have mush to contribute (Knowledge), Best may be able to stir some new questions.

Welcome. Questions is what LQ is all about.

I started out with questions. Now I sometimes actually have an answer!

CaptRon,

That's the way to do it.

I'm on 12.10 Ubuntu Unity after going thorugh the exact same process. You gotta love the diversity offered, and the indivdual freedom Open Source Linux enables!
