Just wanted to write some words here to introduce myself.
I'm Glenn, and work as a *IX sysadmin, and have done for 10 years now.
I was employed for administrating the Solaris systems, but have gone more and more into the linux area, and now I do maybe 90% linux and 10% Solaris.
We are using RHEL4 and 5, Solaris 8 and 9 and OpenBSD.
On my linux workstation at home I use Fedora, 12 at the moment but since the upgrade on my laptop (from 13 to 14) went so well I going to update it to 14 too.
I have two RHCT exams, and a failed RHCE.. but I don't belive much in certifications, experience is everything.
I am an old Amiga (and MorphOS) and IRIX user too, so if you been using those systems and been active in usenet (or even Fidonet) you might have seen me before
I also work alot with AFS (Transarc/IBM/OpenAFS) and Kerberos at work, our systems is heavily built on top of AFS.
I run alot of operating systems at home, Linux, Solaris, OpenBSD, AmigaOS, MorphOS, IRIX, HPUX, and even CP/M
..well, windows too, when I have to.
When I don't play with computer I like electronics, I been doing some PIC projects (of which *one* is released to the public and a lot is in "nearly finished" state..), or play with my cars, or riding my motorcycle.. I also like radio controlled cars, especially vintage Tamiya, have a bunch, including the "famous" sand scorcher.
Well, that was all ? Hmm..
