Old Slacker from UK

Hi all,

An elderly UK Slacker here - old in years and also first used Slackware back in about 1995 (desktop and some servers), but not been using it constantly since then.

In recent years I have been using Ubuntu for the ease of use of apt-get and multimedia on the desktop, but getting increasing frustrated with the way Ubuntu hides too many details, and makes it harder for me to see what exactly is going on inside my OS ... so moving back to Slackware ... back to good 'ole vim and config files !! :-)
