Smile NG on the Block

Hello, My name is Frank. I am somewhat new to the Linux world but not the UNIX world. After retiring from the U.S. Marine I went to college (never went before) and got a degree in Computer Systems and have been working as a UNIX/Windows System Administrator/Engineer for the past 12 years. My main knowledge and work has been in Solaris 7 thru 10.

About 7 months ago I moved over to a contract (Gov Contractor) that uses mainly Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Right at the time they were going to a virtualized local network using RHEL Virtual Manager vice VMWare. So my learning curve has been a challenge these past 7 months, but enjoyable.

I will be going to the Red Hat courses next month to get my RHCSA and then plan to work towards my RHCE if all goes well.

I live in Colorado Springs, CO and enjoy camping, hunting, and fishing.
