Greetings! I'm relatively new to Linux. I got started ok with Suse Linux 11 w/Gnome desktop, installed on a 6 year old Acer laptop. My home network includes a Windows Vista box with several shared folders. I am able to access those folders from other Windows machines, and from this Acer when booted to Win XP, but can't see the Vista box at all, or any shared folders when running Linux. I did take time to swim through this and other forums to try to find the answer, but didn't spot anything with a clear subject line on this issue. I'm guessing that the problem has to do with different drive formats. Any suggestions?

You need "Samba". Look for it in your add/remove software probably under Administration Menu.
Then check out http://www.samba.org/ for instructions on how to set it up.
