I guess you need to post a non linked 1st page to or something. So here's a bit about myself. I've been working with linux for about 8yrs. Absolutely love it. Been telling everyone for a while now to look out for linux. It's going to be a threat to Windows. Every day it just keeps getting better and better. Thanks to the open source community and Linus. Anyways my main interest is in WEP. I've been testing my own system and can successfully crack WEP in just a few minutes using Kismet,a DWL-122 (USB) wlan-ng drivers (which were a son of a gun for me to ever get working. PRACTICALL A Pro now I've done it so much) ICMP Flood from legit client and cracking with aircrack-ng. Been recently trying to use aireplay-ng. I've read all READMEs and done everything possibly describe to create a DeAuth attack, FakeAuth, IPR, and ARP injection. For some reason the wlan-ng driver 0.2.5 has a patch that comes with aircrack-ng to enable packet injection. After sucesfully patching and compiling using Fedora Core 5 and 2.6.18-1.2257 kernel. Everything goes properly as it should. I've even had everything working before applying the patch (besides injection). So I know the drivers work properly as pre-patched. I'm out of ideas. Don't consider myself much of a hacker but, I worry much about being knowledgable on securing. As for most ethical hackers this has been one of those challenges that you just need to defeat/conquer. Usually never post these things. I know how ppl get flamed for not researching. Researching is honestly the best way for me to fully understand (and comprehend fucking ADD). Don't know what else to do or think and am trying to look for any help I can.
