Cool New to forums.

Hi folks.

I'm mainly here, because the Slackware support here comes highly recommended from Slack itself. The Ubuntu distro's another one I've tried recently; I'm considering using it for a new PC in the near future (something with a AMD 64 dual core cpu, maybe 5600+).

I'm just fresh out of college, and am working part time at the moment. I'm also one of those folks that you could call a bedroom musician (mostly on bass). I used to play in several cover bands, but I'm settling down for the moment.

I'm searching for a job in the IT/programming fields, though I may go back to college for some electrical engineering classes in the future.

Oh yeah... I also like to drive around in my minivan when time permits. It still runs really well, even after nine years of hogging the roads. Unlike the previous owner, I don't have to tote any kids on it (yet...), but I do carry some of my music gear on it for jams and stuff, so it does come in handy. One of these days, I ought to downsize to a Subaru Forester... hmm.
