Hello.
I use a computer for text processing mainly, web surfing, but I intend firmly to learn scripting and Ada programming, for the sake of art, first, and second for practical use as I'll have to manage a website of a friend of mine in no time.
And because I've always dreamt to be a super-poweruser !
See you later.
[edit: corrected for a better language]
Please watch the language. Also, you're not pathetic. It takes time and effort to learn the things you mentioned, it doesn't happen overnight. You have great value and purpose, too. God created you and felt that your internal destiny was so important that His Son Jesus (who was sinless) was willing to accept suffering and death on a Cross that we could be forgiven. Please see my blog and my links below to understand more.
I said "pathetic", because I tried to simply be able to compile things, or install systems I knew were very well made, eventhough I wouldn't myself be able to apreciate the beauty of the code. I wanted to, simply for the sake of art, but, well, I failed many time, crushed several hard disk, even a USB key(don't ask how it is even possible, by the way !), and in the end, I always came back to Debian or Ubuntu.
To begin with, I am no "hacker", not a genius in any way, mostly the contrary. I need practice, in a controled environnement, to get skill through good habits. I need something I can study, and watch out thoroughly for mistakes, like in an academic computer science course.
I think I work that way for most disciplines, math or drawing or anything.
But, waw, first reply and already a religious offer. American/anglosaxon forum are really something else ...
But, waw, first reply and already a religious offer.
Yes, I can be very direct that way but I couldn't have offered it unless I experienced Him for myself and know the Truth.
Thank you for your explanation, though. I don't know where you live but perhaps there is a university near where you live that can offer a course or lab so that you can better do what you're describing. If not, you mentioned Ada, would something like this be helpful?
Of course this kind of thing helps. I hadn't checked on Adacore's work for a lot of time. Cool to see they are still alive and so kicking !
And thanks, the more direct the better. I'm already seeing the gods' fingerprint on the creation, but I am not, not at all, inclined toward the catholic or protestant god. Because I believe they destroyed what was pure and perfect in Jesus' message. Like his word "and you will do much more miracles than me", somethin' like that, as I translate from French. I think I am on a real crusade against the world's churchs, to be honnest. So you convince me, too bad ;-)
